Housing:  The same rates apply to all categories of visitor

Dormitory:  4 - 6 people to a room, with shared kitchen and dining area.

Houses:  Full 2-bedroom houses with internet, kitchen, laundry, etc.  Each bedroom has either 2 twin-sized beds or 1 queen.  Prices are per bedroom.

Lab Bench Fee:  This includes most expenses (e.g., use of the boats or truck, tank fills, etc. except for gas for boats, expenses for boat drivers and dive buddies who are not station personnel, and anything more than incidental use of consumables such as alcohol and plasticware.  By excluding this items we are able to keep the bench fees affordable.

STRI and SI employees, SI and STRI fellows, MSN fellows, STRI research associates and people with formal collaborator status approved by the directors office.  Each STRI visitor can bring 1 assistant under the same category.   Other visitors accompanying the STRI researcher will be charged at the rate appropriate to their status.

Volunteers who are not currently employed (by anyone) and are working with a visiting PI who is in any of the categories listed in Bocas Fees.

Spouses who stay in the dorm but who do not participate in research pay only for the dorm, those helping with research fall into one of the above categories.

These fees are much less than or comparable to other stations in the Caribbean.  For example Carrie Bow charges $75/day.

Please contact the station manager if you wish to arrange to have catered meals during your stay.  This can be arranged but the prices cannot be predicted much in advance.
